I was using Depo Provera as BC which I know can take a while ot get out of your system.

I last had my shot on 23rd August so my 12 weeks was up 15th November and I had been having the shot since September 2009. Do you think that any bleeding I have from now on should count as my period and work from there?

Because I’ve had some spotting since 13th November- is that my body coming out of a 'deep-sleep' and could it count as my first period? It wasn't much of a period though, just some pink when I wipe but nothing actually in my knickers.

So what do people think? Is it worth trying to begin working it out now? Or should I wait until I can see some rhythm in my cycle? Let me know if you need any more info.

Answer:
Count any red bleeding as a period (don't count spotting if it's brown or pink). It's hard to tell when you'd ovulate, because it can take your cycles up to a year to normalize after coming off BC.
